DJ Black Coffee, born Nkosinathi Maphumulo in Durban, South Africa in 1976, is one of the most successful and influential DJs in the continent. He started his career in the mid-1990s and has since won numerous awards, including the Best International Act: Africa at the 2016 BET Awards.

Known for his unique blend of house, soul, and jazz, DJ Black Coffee has released several albums, including "Home Brewed," "Have Another One," and "Africa Rising." He has collaborated with artists from around the world, including David Guetta, Alicia Keys, and Drake, and has performed at some of the biggest music festivals in the world, such as Coachella, Tomorrowland, and Ultra Music Festival.

In addition to his music career, DJ Black Coffee is also involved in various philanthropic endeavors. He is a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), and has supported various charities and initiatives in South Africa, including the fight against gender-based violence and HIV/AIDS.

Despite facing personal struggles and setbacks, DJ Black Coffee has continued to inspire and influence a generation of African musicians and music lovers with his unique sound and his commitment to making a positive impact in his community and beyond.
