Blond:ish

Vivie-Ann Bakos is a Canadian DJ and Producer that goes by Blond:ish.

Blond:ish started out as a duo, but recently, they split up and now Vivi-Ann has the reins.

From DJing and promoting her appearances in Montreal, they moved to London to expand their musical knowledge. Its sound is an eclectic mix of world electronica, traditional instruments, polyglot vocals, and field recordings, which they have released on labels like Get Physical, Kompakt, Leftroom, and Noir. On other fronts, Vivie is a philanthropist, environmentalist and entrepreneur, with various businesses around the world.

Over the years, Blond:ish has produced several successful EPs, including "Lonely Days," "Lovers In Limbo," "Strange Attractions," "Inward Visions," and "Wunderkammer." They have also been commissioned to produce remixes for high-profile artists such as Depeche Mode, Pete Tong, Maya Jane Coles, Kate Simko, and WhoMadeWho.

In 2015, Blond:ish released their debut album, "Welcome to the Present," which showcased their psychedelic and spiritual influences and further solidified their reputation as innovators in the world of electronic music. In 2017, BLOND:ISH launched their record label, brand, and party ABRACADABRA, a self-described "female-powered collective".
They have also performed at renowned events such as Burning Man and recorded an Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1. With their unique blend of global sounds and electronic beats, Blond:ish has become a widely recognized and respected name in the music industry.
