Papaya Playa Tulum presents THE RISE ERA with JAN BLOMQVIST 

Seeking to deepen his understanding of the electro movement, he moved to Berlin and immersed himself in the local scene, studying the artists and DJs he encountered. That helped his sound evolve in many ways. 

In this Gratitude Season, 2024-2025 people get together in the spirit of gratitude, to celebrate the magic of music, the beauty of life, and the connections that bind us. World-class DJs, united by a shared love for melodies, will guide you through nights of sonic exploration at Papaya Playa.

🇩🇪 JAN BLOMQVIST 

Jan Blomqvist began his music career as a teenager in the 90s, blending punk, hardcore, Britpop, and rock and roll. As electronic instruments and noise became more prevalent in contemporary music, Jan's own sound evolved. 

Performances at Burning Man in 2016 and the legendary Zero Parties (from 2013-2018) in New York propelled his sound into the North American scene and set a clean and mature example of the second wave of the electronic music movement.

🇩🇪 YULIA NIKO

Germany-based DJ and producer with a minimal deep tech sound heavily influenced by Detroit and Chicago house. 

Two of her tracks were released by Damian Lazarus’ Rebellion imprint and has signed with top-tier labels.

🇲🇽 ANGEL-A

Anna Arkhangelskaya known as ÁNGEL-A began her career in 2020. Anna has developed her very own signature sound that has been shaped by her love for downtempo; deep & melodic house; progressive house. 

Her music is diverse in style yet consistent in vibe. She often combines deep basslines with an emotional touch. 

🇲🇽 ERICK MARTINEZ

Erick Martinez, born in Guadalajara, adds to his DJ skills a great expertise as an audio engineer. His journey with music began at a young age, and his first set in 2002 was just the start. 

Erick soon traveled to Barcelona to study Audio Engineering and later immersed himself in the pulse of London’s historic club scene. These experiences have taken him to perform across Europe, making waves in England, Spain, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.

Now based in Tulum, Erick brings his international experience to the clubs and hotels of the Riviera Maya, playing a set of deep house and electronic mixes.

•  We invite you to book a table with us. When you book a table you DON´T need to purchase tickets. Tables have a minimum consumption. We will suggest your seating based on each table's capacity.
