What day of the week is the best to go to Taboo?

While Taboo is open almost daily, the liveliest atmosphere typically is from Thursday to Sunday. These days offer the most vibrant experiences at Taboo.

What is the difference between reserving at day and night at Taboo Tulum?

During the day, you'll be assigned a spot based on the venue's availability in the beach zone or restaurant area. At night, only the restaurant area is open. Both options allow you to enjoy Taboo's unique happenings!

Do I have to dine at Gitano or can I only go to the party?

If you want to go to a Gitano's party you can purchase a ticket or if you are over six people you can make a reservation with a minimum fee. Also, you can book a dinner table and then access the party to dance at their lively dance floor.

At what time do the parties at Papaya Playa end?

The doors close at 1 am and nobody can enter after that time due to security protocols. The event ends around 3 am and in high season it can end much later. 

Do I need a reservation, pay a minimum fee, or tickets to enter Papaya Playa Project?

Reservations are advisable for a hassle-free experience. When you book a table you don't need to purchase tickets and you will have to oblige to a minimum fee. The Table prices are 100% consumable in drinks, bottle services, and food. Also, you can purchase tickets for their special events.

When are the night parties at Papaya Playa Project?

Parties at Papaya Playa are on Saturday nights, it is their popular day, and when the legendary Full Moon parties take place. During peak season you'll find other party days throughout the week.

Many New Year's Eve events in Tulum might have a dress code. For example, smart casual attires, bohemian & flare outfits, linen pants and flowy clothes are some of the favorite trends within the community.

Comfort is key—especially when you'll be dancing for hours or strolling on the beach. If you pack light & smart, this will help you look elegant while also effortlessly blend in with Tulum's bohemian vibe.
Also, bring a cap for the day, the beach sun can get pretty intense during the peak-light hours.

Is it ever too early to make a reservation for the New Year's Eve in Tulum?

No! It is never too early to book a table, since Tulum’s popularity grows a lot in NYE. Everyone wants to attend and be at the top venues and parties during the high-season.

We recommend booking and getting tickets as early as you can, to ensure your spot in the venues you want to visit, and to choose from a wider party and festival pool, since most of the tables for the big events sell out somewhat close to the date.

In most places credit cards are widely accepted, so there's often no need to carry much cash at all.
