The High Season in Tulum: A 2023-2024 Look Back

The High Season in Tulum lasts about two to three months, from the end of November or early December to the end of February. Something quite interesting happens during this short invernal period in Tulum. Heavyweights of the Techno and House Worldwide Industry start congregating in Tulum by the end of the year, and by NYE many of the important names in the scene take the stages in Tulum. This yearly season, solidifies Tulum as one of the most requested party locations in Mexico, alongside Cabo.

Not only do DJs and ravers get together in Tulum, but also brands, producers, and people who are essential to the well-being of the scene. It is the union of all these people that made The High Season of 2023-2024 in Tulum so special!

After the season ends, there are still great parties throughout the year. We continue to follow the scene and are excited about what there is in store for the 2024-2025 High Season in Tulum.

We know that one of the best parts after a party is revisiting it through memories, photos, and videos, and re-living these amazing moments. This Recap for NYE is meant to bring that excitement of past parties to the present. We have collected the best photos & our highlights of the season 2023-2024.

November was denoted by Vagalume's Weekend Festival, where Hernan Cattaneo, Armen Miran, Massano, Mahmut Orhan, and others performed. This festival was followed by the thriving performance of Polo & Pan with Terms and Conditions, accompanied by Tom & Collins at Bagatelle. This venue chooses to keep international acts for special occasions, and this one was definitely one of them.  

On the 31st of December, there were plenty of great options to choose from, making our calendar boost with more than 17 great parties, dinners, beach clubs, and night choices. The main events were happening at Vagalume, Bagatelle, Mia, Balabamba, Papaya Playa, Gitano, and more. You name it and there was probably an event going on!

Day Zero 

Day Zero took place on Jan 12, a highly anticipated jungle rave curated by Damian Lazarus.

The event centers around the final day of the Ancient Mayan Calendar in 2012. DAY ZERO stands as an eagerly awaited occasion amongst the adventurous party community, presenting what many describe as "the wildest rave in Mexico".

And lastly, on Jan 15 Mayan Warrior 2024 at Tulum took place. The history of The Mayan Warrior in Tulum goes way far! 🚀

Mayan Warrior is presented as a collaborative project uniting artists, musicians, technologists, and creatives worldwide. Their special events at Tulum have become a highly expected yearly tradition. This last edition was dedicated to the return of a new art car to Black Rock City in 2024 after the last one, unfortunately, burned down.
